GW 24: Liverpool vs. Leicester

Image
After a weekend full of domestic cup football we will be looking forward to this midweek set of fixtures in which Liverpool take on Leicester. Both teams have been enjoying fruitful league campaigns up to this point as Liverpool are top of the league while Leicester have found themselves in the top 10 which is the sort of area that you think they would be targeting. However, neither team as it the pinnacle of their seasons as they have both been experiencing some shaky form recently. Still though, Liverpool’s home form has stayed solid and with this important advantage of playing at their own ground they look to be strong favourites in the match. Their recent form against Leicester could also be telling, as Liverpool have won their last 3 Premier League games against Leicester while they've won 6 of their last 7 home matches against them. This means that Liverpool won the reverse fixture between them earlier on in the season, which ended up 2-1 in Liverpool’s favour. The match

GW 24: Wolves vs. West Ham

Image
Wolves against West Ham looks to be another interesting game from matchweek 24 as both of these teams are involved in the extremely tight battle that has taken over the middle of the table, where only 3 points separates 7th from 12th. With Wolves in 8th and West Ham in 10th there is only 1 point between them meaning a win from either side would guarantee them moving up at least one place and, to be honest, most likely more considering the inconsistency of many of these sides. On the topic of inconsistency, both teams fit the description as Wolves have won 2 and lost 2 of their last 4 games while Watford have won 1, drawn 1 and lost 2 of their last 4. The last match between these two teams was an extremely tight match as Wolves narrowly came out on top 1-0 after a 92nd minute winner from Adama Traore. Wolves edged West Ham in shots and possession but overall there was practically nothing between the two sides which is now showing in the table. However, with Wolves at their own grou

GW 24: Tottenham vs. Watford

Image
After FA and League cup action, midweek games are back as Tottenham vs. Watford looks to be the most interesting match of gameweek 24. Both teams have been very good over the course of the season as Tottenham sit in 3rd whereas Watford sit just outside the top 6 in 7th, however, there is a massive 18 point difference between the sides. This overall form has been carried into both teams last few games as Watford are unbeaten in their last 4, admittedly with 3 draws, while Tottenham have won 4 of their last 6. Although Tottenham’s recent form has been quite good, their home form has actually been quite poor as they’ve lost their last 2 Premier League home games, to Manchester United and Wolves. Last time the teams met in the league Tottenham faced one of their only 2 home defeats of the season as Watford came back in the match to win 2-1. In most aspects of the game, Tottenham dominated but they failed to come out on top in the area that counts and they will be looking desperately

GW 23: Arsenal vs. Chelsea

Image
The big match of the weekend is a London derby between 2 high quality teams in Arsenal and Chelsea. Both teams started the season strong but due to a number of recent occurrences they’ve both struggled for form in recent weeks. Chelsea are currently 6 points ahead of Arsenal, however, only 1 place separates the sides with Chelsea in 4th and Arsenal in 5th. While Arsenal have been very suspect at the back recently, it has been the opposite for Chelsea as they’re have trouble finding the back of the net. Although Chelsea might have had more success over the past few years, Arsenal have edged them in this fixture winning 2 of the last 6 matches against their rivals while Chelsea have only won 1. However, in the Premier League, Chelsea have been much more dominant as they haven’t lost against Arsenal in their last 4 Premier League meetings winning 2 and drawing 2. This includes the reverse fixture this season, where Chelsea came out on top 3-2 in a frantic match. Arsenal are a much s
